Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

This rare and unique oil painting is a mixed media recreation of George Catlin's masterpiece which resides in the Smithsonian Museum, Washington D.C.
From the artist: "Having the desire to use precious metal leaf in an oil painting, I was fully captivated by this work of Catlin. What you see in gold and silver is actual 23kt gold and silver leaf. Palladium leaf was used as well. The glazing over the leafed areas has given the painting a "mystical presence" as luminous subtleties are observed under varying degrees of light." The painting was first unveiled publicly at a Seminole Indian art show sponsored by the Plantation Historical Museum....

By trade he began as a sign-writer and at around the same time in the 1970's worked professionally as a musician. After moving to Florida several years later John's music career started to take off. The band "Sawgrass," in which he sang and played bass guitar, signed with RCA Records and began recording at the legendary Criteria Studio's in Miami. There, he had the good fortune to work with and meet some of the world's most renowned musicians, arrangers, producers, and studio engineers. Through the years, John continued performing music with various bands in South Florida. However he earned his income mainly through his trade as a sign-maker and...
